When disputes happen, in families corporations countries, you must have an equal playing field or you cannot be called decent, ethical and fair; and expect to resolve an unpleasant and out of control issue.
FAIR means
synonyms: | just, equitable, honest, upright, honorable, trustworthy;without cheating or trying to achieve unjust advantage.”no one could say he played fair. |
In no way can any fair person call this situation of HOUSTON VERSUS HOUSTON fair.
The HOUSTON CLAN had full advantage of my mother and her finances for all the time I was not present, a long long time. They had full influence. The HOUSTON CLAN individually and collectively have a lot of power in the city of Victoria. So what do they do when someone says no to them – they don’t play fair, not from my perspective.
We have an elderly man about 90 years old at the time, an elderly woman about 88 and me middle aged +. Up against The HOUSTON CLAN (4 professional adult children, their spouses +, with deep pockets)
So what would it have meant had they played fair. Talk to me without accusing me of committing a crime to which you cannot prove in any way because it didn’t happen. Be respectful. If you want me to trust you you had better be trustworthy. And lastly if you are going to accuse me of anything and have no proof, fair play would be to give me an opportunity to defend myself. They did not do any of this.
From my perspective the opposite of fair-play is bullying. But this was not school playground nastiness; which of course is serious enough.
I believe they got their way because they were not playing fair. Now you say to me, “oh Louise, get over it, life’s not fair”. I say, it is time for us to stop letting them get away with it.
People will continue taking advantage of others if they get away with it. Someone has to call those out who wish to destroy other’s for their gain.
Just my opinion!
