What does it take to overcome obstacles and take one more step to uplift yourself?
To move on with a life that has quality and substance, whereby, one is able to contribute to the uplifting of the world. That is a tall order to many of us but contributing means that nothing is too small. Getting an uplifting comment on your blog can be all it takes to encourage someone. Giving them the impetus to take one more step.
Its hard for a lot of people to understand that you could get so down, and hit so hard, that the smallest thing is too much. When you have dropped to rock bottom down the obstacles seems impossible, huge, daunting and overwhelming.
Being the victim is only helpful if you use it as a springboard and platform to jump off. I know one thing is that pretending that pain doesn’t exist does not help. I think so often we don’t want to voice our pain to the world because we feel a sense of shame, “everyone has problems, who am I to complain and whine.” Well I know that one, but falling into the pity pit may be what you need to do to learn your lessons. No one can judge your process.
I was just watching American Ninja Warriors – love that show. One competitor said, “You can’t just muscle through it, you must use technique.” You learn the techniques from the ground up and that might mean hanging out in the pity pit for awhile observing yourself in the darkness.
The perky, positive thinking action steps are great but they don’t necessarily help in the beginning stages. I believe after the desire and will to fight for yourself is established then comes UNDERSTANDING. If you don’t delve into the deep recesses of your psyche and learn your patterns, strengths, what motivates you, what stops you in your tracks, your rhythms, talents etc understanding may not come. I don’t think you can take any substantive steps in a real and sincerer way without seeing and knowing yourself.
Take you your own steps – don’t let yourself be shamed or embarrassed into silence.
ONE AT A TIME.

Thank you for both. A compliment from you means a lot for you are the master of words. And of course thanks for the nomination
You are more than welcome 🙂
I have asked this question. It takes the courage of one more day. No less. It takes saying, world, you’ve not ground me to dust yet. And anyone who says that’s a cakewalk or something easy and small? Well they don’t know how much it actually takes, to not give up and say screw them all.
You are a gem. I am so happy to be getting to know you. If you are signed up for google+ plus love to see you over there.
I am. What’s your google+ and I will try to find you?
google.com/+LouiseFowlerVancouver
I don’t really interact with anyone on that site because I am just motivated to express other things about me and things I find interesting.
I hope I found you and wrote you. If not then a stranger is probably scratching their head right about now!
It may be confusing for people new to my site because I change the top picture all the time. But it does say Louise Fowler and right now it has a yawning theme. But will change it next theme, 🙂 if that makes any sense. I don’t see your note yet but then I might find it we will see.
It will be in google+ hangouts xxx ( the messaging part of google +).
I will go looking. thks
I have never used hangout so give me some time to figure it out he he
