I found the love in the little grocery store owner down the street, Albert, who gave me the rice. Sometimes fruit and vegies. He gave me my first jicama. He said now you try, you like it. He never asked for anything in return. He bought me a loto ticket one day, and he said, you will get rich. I’m still waiting. I had the privialege to talk to him a couple of days before he died. I never forgot him.
I found the love from a beautiful woman who traveled miles and miles on a bus, turning up at my door with bags of groceries.
I found the love through friendships that are so special I don’t even know what to say about these special people. Unconditional love. One beautiful lady, Sandie, was like a big sister I never had. Her friendship was so special it makes me cry just thinking of her. I lost contact with her, I take full responsibility. If you are reading this Sandie please contact me so I can tell you myself how much I love you and appreciate you.
I even found, maybe not love, but kindness from the random acts of sexual encounters of long ago. Strange you say, well, most people really are just looking for intimacy.
I have a lot of love in my life. But I will accept more. I also have a lot of love to give.
I have not allowed my pain to take my heart away.
Thank you, Louise, for sharing some of your love memories. Yes love is everywhere, but we must be open to it or we miss it. It’s a part of who we are. Thank you again for sharing.
It is easy at times to loose sight of the love out there in this, sometimes, cruel world but if we don’t we wither away. Marilyn Fowler, I don’t think we are related but maybe far away.
To love is indeed the best journey of our soul. To be loved through Radom acts of kindness is indeed a journey of karma.
How beautifully said, thank you.
